AJ’s journey into the health and fitness industry began after high school. He first attended Orange Coast College (OCC) where he started out as an architecture major. After his first year at OCC, he realized that architecture was not the right fit for him and switched to Kinesiology. The study of kinesiology was better suited for him since he grew up in a life filled with sport and exercise. After a few years at OCC, he transferred to and graduated from California State University of Fullerton (CSUF) with a B.S. in Kinesiology. While at CSUF, he learned myriad of things about human movement from anatomy and physiology to motor control and biomechanics. During college and after, AJ worked alongside physical therapists helping people with various orthopedic pre/post-surgical conditions getting them back to living life. Over this past year, he has obtained a personal training and stretch therapist certification, and been working as a flexologist (stretch therapist) at StretchLab. With the knowledge from college and certifications as well as the lessons from working with physical therapist AJ feel confident that he can fulfill the needs of those who walk into Capo Performance Rehab. His mission is to help each client/patient achieve his or her goals no matter what it may be: reducing pain, gaining strength/power, becoming more flexible, relieving stress, and/or simply taking the steps to living a healthier life.
